Sleep is the answer to ADD.

Beat Stress - Realize Success
I read an article detailing the research on the symptoms of ADD.  It appears that the symptoms of sleep deprivation are identical to the symptoms of childhood ADD.  Can it be that our children are not getting substantial REM sleep?  Is this a factor that contributes to our beautiful children not being able to focus?  The more I research this topic, the more it appears that restful sleep plays a significant role in the ability to focus overall, so why would this not be a problem for the children?  Try Sleep Soundly with your child.  My daughter listened to the cd while in high school, when the pressure cooker got too much for her and was able to cope far better after a good night's rest.  Although she does not suffer from ADD, her focus, her attention span and her ability to address the overwhelming challenges inherent in adolescence were always easier to cope with after a good night's sleep.
Sleep - just what the doctor ordered.

Sleep Soundly

Beat Stress - Realize Success
During these stressful times, I find that going to sleep becomes a bit more difficult, but that for me staying asleep is more the issue.  Stressbustters Sleep Soundly has a suggestion built right in to address staying asleep.  Each time that I find myself beginning to stir, the suggestion kicks in and I gently drift off.  Try it and let me know.

Panic - overreacting to stress

Beat Stress - Realize Success
Who among us has not had moments of concern for our futures?  Who has not watched the news and wondered how all of this mess is going to impact me?   Concern is natural; even occasional fear is natural.  When that natural response to a baffling problem escalates to panic, intervention is needed.  Anyone who has ever had a panic attack knows that the fear becomes magnified, that the original stimuli is not even the point anymore, and the fear becomes as much about the fear as anything else.  Calm is the antidote to fear, whether financial or personal or free-floating.  Visit www.stressbustters and listen to Panic No More.  Let me know the extent to which your panic was reduced and get a free cd of your choice sent to you.  I can't wait to hear from you.

Post Holiday Depression

Beat Stress - Realize Success
I always experience a "let down" after the holidays.  The hoopla is over and it is back to business as usual.  Often the holidays are not the "Hallmark" experience I had hoped for - again.  I meditate and listen to my "Depression" CD often to ensure that my temporary thoughts don't create a more permanent state.  Then I find that I am once again hopeful.  Hope is a great antidote to the blues.  Here is a thought of hope for all of you -
